I hate these guys. Latest AXS of evil update: They are now hiding what their actual fees are, to make it look like the prices are just high and it's not them!
So last week you could see that the ticket price was $199 and that these greedy a-holes added $77 in fees... for an overall price of $276. You could easily see on any ticket, how much they were screwing people over in advance, upcharges of 21-27% on every ticket. Want to splurge on a $1,000 ticket, oh wait - AXS is charging another $270 on top of that - because they can.
WELL - I guess that level of transparency exposed their greed too much to people. Now, they updated their app to change all the pricing to just say for instance $1,270 (includes fees & taxes if applicable)!
They are trying to make it look like the seller ticket prices are just high, and "oh maybe there's some fees & taxes if applicable".
They are grabbing an insane amount of money from every ticket sold through the Timberwolves app. I do not understand how a company that provides literally no value other than being a transactional website/app, and a glitchy, sucky one at that, gets away with this.
I loved the fact that the state of Minnesota forced them to show the full price, and I loved that it was exposing up front how grossly they were over-inflating those prices with their fees. But now they're just hiding it again and making it look like it's not them. There is no way a company like AXS deserves to take over 20% of all Timberwolves ticket revenue.
Why can no one stop these guys? Why can't A-Rod and Lore just build their own site/app and remove AXS entirely from the equation?
Who are they? The color guy is terrible.
I took these screenshots tonight at the start of the second quarter when I was looking around the stadium and curious how many seats had been unsold.
9 lower level sections and basically every upper level section had tickets unsold for less than $200. All but 4 lower bowl sections had tickets left under $400. I know a lot of folks reflexively say “somebody will buy them!”, but that has just not been true this series at these prices.
Idk how they juice the “sellout” numbers but there were hundreds of unsold box office seats both Tuesday and tonight.
Tonight in Game 2 against the Warriors, Anthony Edwards needs to be hungry! Hungry to dominate the game... Hungry to lead... Hungry to score. Hungry to defend... Hungry like a Wolf!
What is going on in this round, I am now super scared we are going down to the curry-less warriors. If you asked me before, Knicks had no business winning ANY games in Boston and now they are up 2-0, pacers are up 2-0, and nuggets are 1-0. Going to have a mini breakdown if the nugs win the game tonight.
After some time to digest the loss, I feel confident about the rest of the series ( or at least this game). I think the team will come out with hunger, definitely after losing on their home court.. but i’d love to hear yalls thoughts!
Die hard fan and unable to watch the game because I’m on a plane the entire length of the game. I have enough internet to see the gamecast on ESPN and be on Reddit but not enough to stream the game because it’s shitty internet. Anyone have a good way for me to keep up? I’ve heard twitter

View on RedditWe need the lid to come off the rim at some point. Anyone know a good exorcist, witch doctor, or voodoo man???
Edit: here’s the stats. Also I did bad math and we were actually worse at 2-21.
That's all I gotta say. They were rusty with all that time off and now will punish them. Hopefully Finch will not hesitate to play Clark & TSJ if they need an energy boost and not this 8 man rotation.
I’m genuinely concerned. I think he’s gone.
Unless it was wide open, they prioritized attacking the paint.
Wolves should do the same. They are much bigger and can crash the offensive boards. Happened last game in their final run until Warriors put in Looney, who they can exploit on switches.
Also, long ass rebounds coming from missed threes leads to fastbreaks resulting to 5 or 6-point swings.
Is it just me or is it even more frustrating losing Tuesday knowing how wide open these playoffs are? There’s no real juggernaut. It almost feels like the covid playoffs where there wasn’t a clear favorite. Sure you could say thunder or Celtics heading in but the east has two huge upsets brewing and the nuggets are too good to not make the series with the thunder at least a six gamer. You could say any year is a good year to make it to the WCF but this year of all years is your shot to make a real run and I’m not sure any other year will present such a great opportunity. The thunder feel like the clear best team in the playoffs imo even if the pacers are hot. I would’ve said it was going to be Cleveland vs Celtics and hope Cleveland is healthy to give the Celtics depth a run for their money but now the east is just flipped on its head. You have a somewhat good matchup with the thunder assuming you can take care of business and beat a neutered Steph less warriors team. Which I know is already a step too far given how horrendous we have shot the entire playoffs except for game 1 against the lakers and how energy-less we were last game.
I so wanted him to look at Finch at twirl his finger for a replay on his garbage time foul.....
The Timberwolves brought defense and made baskets tonight. The Warriors looked discombobulated and out of rythm without Curry. Great win Wolves!!!
I really liked the white out wolves back shirts tonight, and I would be interested in buying one from anyone that was at the game. DM me if you're interested. WOLVES IN 5
She's lowkey the auntie of MN sports. Been around forever. Great person.
But her talents aren't suited for play by play. I hope the Wolves find a suitable sub to replace Grady when he is doing WNBA/ESPN games.
Game 2 Wolves vs. Warriors set for a 7:35 tip tonight with NO possible slide.
Brian Anderson, Stan Van Gundy & Lauren Jbara on the call for TNT.

Yes, last night the Timberwolves made 5 threes compared to Golden State’s 18 threes. If they shoot even 30% from three-- well below their season average-- they win that game. You can make a strong argument that that single factor is the game.
And while it’s undeniably true that the Timberwolves got outshot, they also got noticeably outworked.
They allowed 18 offensive rebounds and got outrebounded overall by 10 to a much smaller team. They had 16 turnovers. They didn’t close out on open shots well especially in the second half, they didn’t box out well, there was very little attention to detail in terms of rotating on defense with guys seemingly not even knowing the plan at times. They only selectively attacked the paint on offense despite it being there for them all night.
You can’t necessarily control statistically anomalous three point shooting. But you can control good ball movement, good rotations, attacking the glass, boxing out, running in transition, all these other things that also killed the Timberwolves last night. All of these things are simply a matter of sticking to the gameplan, playing with energy, and attention to detail.
In other words: effort.
The Warriors are a good team. They are a deep team with a lot of solid bench players they can go to. They are an extraordinarily well coached and disciplined team.
But they are now without their offensive superstar and are a team that was not that good offensively to begin with. And the Timberwolves now find themselves in a unique position where they are facing a team without their one true star player in a series where they were heavily favored, even before Curry went down. They’re not going to have to score 120 points a game or put on a clinic offensively to beat Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, and Buddy Hield.
Which is not to say that the Warriors cannot win. If anything, last night showed that there is a path forward for them, even without Curry.
But if the Timberwolves come out playing with force from the jump and with the attention to detail and urgency that the playoffs-- regardless of opponent-- warrants, they can very easily win this series, even if they continue with their historically bad shooting.
It is now simply a matter of working their asses off to win the fundamentals battle against a team whose only hope of winning now is out-hustling the Timberwolves.
We're up 20 let the man rest that ankle!!
Butler is likely to get his regardless of how we play him, but we knew that coming into it. I am hoping the Wolves key on Hield defensively because when he is shooting hot, they are a much better team and he will probably get heavy minutes with Curry out.
Podziemski can do a lot when he is on too, but he hasn't had as many minutes in most of his appearances lately. Not sure if it's because of the playoff rotation being tighter or if he just isn't playing quite as well due to the competition being stronger. But he seems like a good candidate for an increased role with Curry out too.
It sucks whenever a player gets injured, I feel a little bad for the Warriors fans. But the circumstances are what they are and Curry is out for now. For the Warriors to compete at their highest possible level, one or both of Hield and Podziemski will probably have to have a very strong showing. If we can take those two out of the equation, it will go a long way towards getting the Wolves back into the win column.
Go Wolves! :)
