This is gonna sound a bit wacky but say with me for a minute. You know how a lot of our guys have an issue with being run off the line and sometimes get stuck pump faking ghosts? I feel like this might be an issue of suffering from success. I know the guys go really hard in thunder practices. Which makes me think all our shooters have been run off the line everyday so they should be used to it right? I think because our defenders are so good when our guys get run off the line in practice they’re used to being bottled up on drives or outright blocked. So when they get into an in game scenario they’ve been so conditioned by playing elite defenders they have lag times and overthink more than they should. I also feel like SGA became the best isolationist because he had Lu guarding him for years in practice (now that I think about it pretty much every elite iso player has also played with elite iso defenders)
That's the post. STAY ANGRY. STAY PISSED. PLAY THUNDER BASKETBALL.

In order for us to beat denver in ball arena it really comes down to us hitting threes and rebounding well. Ultimately denvers role players are going to play MUCH better. We saw in the grizzlies series our role players kinda faded on the road. This series we cant afford that after giving up home court. Hopefully the guys know they gotta bring that energy. Thunder up!
he absolutely stepped up tonight but I can’t help but notice his willingness to still smile and laugh, even after getting bloodied up by russ and getting his spine squeezed by 300lbs of joker
Unsupported media.
View on RedditHis energy is definitely needed for this match up, he plays hard knowing he had limited minutes. I'm not saying more minutes I'm saying don take his minutes away in this match up he energy and three point shooting is necessary.
Brooks and Donovan both had more success, and also had more injuries and super teams they had to play against. And they were both bad coaches. But at least they weren’t making calls that gave away playoff games.
He’s an excellent developmental guy, but it’s obvious he’s in over his head at this level. Getting outcoached left and right by an interim coach that just took over a couple weeks ago.
He’s making mistakes that you learn before high school ball, like not fouling when you want to run the clock out.
Guy came from the G and has been kept afloat by SGA the same way KD and the other have done in the past. But holding onto this guy will kill our window, 100%
I'm just wondering if they have a good homecourt advantage and if its gonna be challenging for the thunder to win.
OKC carrying quite a heavy load for everyone else!
Ok, so are we good for the next two days? No more complaint posting? Let the guys rest and knock out the next three games.
I'm rather certain that the media outside of OKC and Denver are focused on SGA vs Joker, but one narrative that I haven't heard anything about is Russ going against his old team in this series. Have you guys talked about it and if so, what's the general feeling when it comes to that?
Had to confess to it. I'll never not love him.
If somehow a coach on the staff is reading this. We need MORE J-WILL MINUTES.
He was absolutely incredible today putting an additional body on Jokic, really getting him irritated. And helping with the boxouts against AG and Braun. And we know he’s gonna keep the offense moving and knock down some BOOM’s.
MORE MINUTES for J-Will
Jokic is worse than a literal cone on defense. I know Luka gets a lot of shit for being bad on d (which he is) but jokic makes Luka look like a DPOY candidate. He plays drop coverage on SGA, who torched that tonight with the middy. PLEASE PUT HIM IN EVERY DAMN SCREEN.
Not to mention but how many damn points does he give up with this horrid defense? Bro drops amazing stat lines but what’s the point in dropping 40 if ur giving up 40 on the other end
I watched all his buckets from the other night. Aside from two, he uses the same pattern every drive:
Fast first step. Fast drive, yet somehow he still can stop on a dime. He’ll get the defender flying backwards via their momentum. He pushes slightly with his off-arm for even more space and now he has a wide open shot. That’s why there’s always so much space when the shot goes up.
He’s elite athletically with the first step, acceleration and stopping on a dime at such high rate of speed. Most players are lucky to be able to do even one of those things as well as SGA, let alone combining all of them
It’s a chain reaction and he strings them all together perfectly. That’s what makes him different. Not to mention, he’s great at reads and I think he already knows what spot he’s going to shoot from in advance. Like Kawhi. Very little wasted movement.
Not praise or criticism and not a ground-breaking bball style. Just an observation from someone who loves mechanics. What do ya’ll think? Am I just stating the obvious?
Best, - Warriors in 4
Don’t care if I’m speaking too soon, but this sub pissed me off after game one. Whatever happens in this series, you can’t deny that these guys are leaving it all out on the court every night.
Trade Chet, fire Mark, how about stfu and witness greatness?
If Jaylin doesn’t earn himself more consistent minutes after tonight idk what to say.
He seems to be the only one not afraid and that wants smoke with Jokic. I fucking love it🔥 we need that toughness!!
This was the EXACT response this team needed to give after Game 1. Grant Hill mentioned it on the broadcast, we played with rage, and you could feel that even through the screen. We couldn't have played better today and our boys rewarded those who didn't lose hope. Here's to Game 3, let's continue to ruin them, this time on the road. TTFU !!
What are these playoffs, game isn’t over yet but seems like everyone is choking leads wtf
I mean what incredible scouting and luck. And in such a short amount of time these guys are developing into great hoopers. So proud of this squad and excited to keep watching them grow.
He my favorite player of all time but gah this man is so reckless lol he’s been smacking the shit outta everyone all night.
We got this guys.
If they think they lost because of the refs and a bunch of rowdy fans, then I am more confident we will win game 3. I'm still predicting a 5 pt or less win, but if they are this delusional, the rest of the series is a lot easier.
The greatest advantage we have is the Nugget's championship complex: They still think they are the defending champions.
Truth is, their entire offense revolves around Jokic, and if he gets shut down, it's over.
Jokic is done. No chance Braun, MPJ, or Aaron can bail him out if the players collapse on him like that. He needs to score 40+ and put up 20+ assists for them to have a chance (he only put up 17 pts 6 ast last game).
Unless there is some major genius gameplan Adelman can pull out of his ass, I think we have contained Jokic.
Keep blaming the refs.
We got this.
