Normally I really like the group chat guys, but they've really annoyed me this week. Earlier in the week in a Group Chat pod, BigWos essentially called our first round series a non-playoff series and badly discredites the Grizzlies as a playoff opponent. Wouldn't have bothered me if he then didn't give the Heat their flowers for dismantling the Heat.

For fuck's sake, despite their coaching issues, the Grizzlies were ELEVEN games better than the Heat playing a Western Conference schedule!

I'm really ready to get to round two so we can hopefully shift the narrative of some of the bugger national media talking heads. I know the Group Chat guys aren't the most prominent, but they aren't the only ones who share this sentiment.

just got tickets for games 3 and 4 in denver, hoping we sweep em and finish it in 4 so i can be there for it, i also hope it will go to 5 though so we can close it out with the home crowd, although i personally think we will win in 6.

Jokic fans love point differential, I see them talking about it all the time in the MVP arguments. Why do they seem to disregard the gap in point differential between the two teams when it comes to who will win the series? The difference between point differential between Thunder and Denver was larger than the gap between Denver and the Wizards.

Just watching the HOU/GSW game and man am I glad to see Steven Adams killing it this game. My all time favorite Thunder player no matter what. Thunder up!!!

Yes—Russ is one of us. Forever. The heart, the hustle, the 110% effort whether it’s a Tuesday in Detroit or Game 7 of the Finals—we saw it all, and we loved him for it. He gave us blood, sweat, and highlight reels we’ll never forget.

But let’s be real.

He didn’t retire here. He’s not wearing Thunder blue. He’s rolling into Paycom in a Denver Nuggets jersey—and that matters. We showed him love when the games didn’t count. Now they do. So clap if you must, cheer if you feel it—but keep it tight. Keep it playoff.

Because if Russ tries to swing from our rim like it’s a circus tent? If he forgets whose court he’s standing on?

He’s getting the full wrath.

gotta slow joker down somehow. no doubt we can slow down their guards but the bigs have to play well.

With it looking more and more likely we play Denver Monday, how are you guys feeling?

Honestly, Jokic is gonna get his regardless but if we can make life hell for the likes of Murray, Gordon, and MPJ I think we win in 5 or 6.

Not too worried about Murray as much as I am Gordon tbh. We struggle against huge athletic forwards and that exactly what Gordon is. It’ll be interesting to see if we stick Chet or dub on him.

At the same time I’m glad we have Lu, Caso, and Caruso to throw at guys like Murray, MPJ and Russ.

Really hope we don’t double Jokic like we did Luka in the Mavs series. Role Players feed off of him much like they do Luka.

iHart and Chet can wear Jokic down. If Zubac was able to minimize Jokic, then I'm sure they can do the same. Caruso, Dort, and Cason can all man-up on Jamal Murray.

The one thing that cannot happen is for guys like Christian Braun, AG, Russ, and MPJ to all drop double figures on us. Also, we can't let Caruso or a smaller guy guard Jokic like we did with JJJ. He's too physical and strong.

We could actually play a straight-up man-to-man with minimal switches.

Playoff Murray might show up for a game and Jokic could will them to victory through sheer will in another one. However, I'm willing to bet that they can't do it on a consecutive basis or do it 4 times against us. For them to beat us, they'll both have to play like 2018 Playoffs LeBron or 2023 Playoff Jimmy every single game. I'm more than happy to take that chance.

I think ima pull for the Nuggets. Beating the mvp runner up gotta solidify such winnings onto getting the title.

We are going to lose our first game of the 2025 playoffs. It’s going to happen. Don’t lose yer wiener/giner over it. We win the second round, but we will drop a game or two. It’s fine and it’s normal. Support the fellas.

Was there ever a man with two last names? Could there really be two players on the same team with (almost) the same name? What are the odds that two people could play at the same high school, then the same college, then the same NBA team? Could a young Canadian-Haitian man really be the best defender in the NBA? Can a team in Oklahoma actually end up with 4 MVPs, the best GM, and the best head coach?

I’m not buying it. I think we’ve all become victims to possibly the largest case of basketball related mass psychosis in American history.

With Houston and Golden State going to Game 7 OKC will play on Monday likely a 8:30 PM tip off on TNT. Remember rest of the playoff run you can only watch the game either on TNT, ESPN or ABC.
